Willis Gulch Hike to Interlaken Resort

This is a relatively easy hike compared to the others. From the Colorado Trail trailhead (SE of the lakes), a two mile trail along the lakes leads to the historic Interlaken Resort and Dexter House area. There are no significant steep climbs and has great views of the lakes and mountains. A few large aspen groves are part of the scenery as well.

Snowdrift Ridge Snowdrift Ridge - Independence Pass

Snowdrift Ridge is the right peak (among the three points) seen in the left photo. From Independence Pass, it is a relatively gentle walk of approximately two miles (each way) to the top. This is also a popular spot for skiers and snowshoers when there is snow at the pass. (The link above is a page by "Colorado Guy" with photos and captions of his hike.)

Missouri Gulch Trail Missouri Gulch Trail

The Missouri Gulch Trail begins inside Clear Creek Canyon near Vicksburg in northern Chaffee County - due south of Twin Lakes. The trail leads to spur trails to 14ers Mt. Belford and Missouri Mountain and Elkhead Pass. of Twin Lakes. (The link above is a page by "Colorado Guy" from his hike of Mt. Belford via this route.)
