A Beautiful 2005 Autumn Visit - by Kelly in Kansas

In late September 2005, my Dad and I visited Twin Lakes on our way to Independence Pass.

The aspens were in their peak; the leaves were brilliant gold. We must have spent an hour just watching the light change and watching the aspen colors reflect in that crystal water. It’s such a peaceful spot, Dad and I stopped at Twin Lakes a couple more times before leaving the area. Visiting Twin Lakes was one of many highlights of that trip to Colorado with my Dad, who is one of my dearest friends.
